CLOUD ENGINEER

Company: Principal Financial Group Role: Cloud Engineer Duration: 12 months Location: Des Moines (hybrid on-site) or fully remote if located in the US. Interview: initial screening phone call and Microsoft Teams meeting with myself. Virtual interview following with hiring leader. Position purpose: Increase in demand with adding additional depth to the existing product scope. Daily responsibilities: 1. They have built an existing UI and backend services to support this UI for their stakeholders. This application was built and will be enhanced using React, React test library, Nodejs, Typescript, and some Java. 2. Most of the day-to-day work will reside in collaborating and pairing with team members to deliver software using AWS services to the customers. 3. There will be daily and weekly ceremonies to attend as a team member. 4. In the beginning there will be a lot of collaborating on the design and build out of the solution. Qualifications: 1. 8+ years AWS services 2. 8+ years Java 3. 8+ years CDK 4. 8+ years Pair programming / TDD 5. 8+ years CDK 6. 8+ years Microservice architecture 7. 8+ years Typescript 8. 8+ years NodeJS 9. 8+ years UI technology experience (React/RTL/etc.)
