Cloud Engineer

Job Description:

• Implement, maintain and design various AWS cloud applications and deployments using AWS infrastructure, Azure DevOps.
• Responsible for writing cloud formation templates for various services in AWS and creating build pipelines and release pipelines for deploying infrastructure into AWS using code pipeline.8-10 years

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:

• Responsible for successful migration of legacy application in 3 rd Party
• Cloud provider to the Caterpillar Managed AWS Cloud Environment –
• Microsoft .Net w/ Service Fabric VMs to AWS EC2 / MSSQL Databases
• Provide architecture support for AWS Hosted application for future

Typical task breakdown:

• Weekly meetings with Migration Partner to ensure migration of Remote
• Fleet Vision Legacy application to cloud proceeds on plan.
• Participate in Daily Stand-Up meetings to ensure committed work
• Progresses and stays on plan.
• Daily engagement with local Virginia Beach Team
• Self-organize to ensure that new designs, architectures and generation of
• Documentation is completed in the requested timely manner.

Interaction with team:

• Virtual environment using Microsoft Teams
• Education & Experience Required:
• BS Computer Science or similar field
• 8 to 10 years of cloud experience, 3 -5 years AWS specific experience in
• Real world experience, willing to include internships as experience needed.
• Willing to accept a Master’s Degree with less experience.
• Associates degree accepted with more than 10 years experience.

Technical Skills:

• AWS managed services such as EC2, RDS, SNS, SQS, FSx, S3.
• AWS Networking / VPC / Cyber Security
• Working knowledge of Single page Web Application
