We are looking for Cloud Engineers/Managers having expertise in managing cloud engineering and leading an operations team, must have Private Cloud Services platform experience

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Building and designing web services in the cloud, along with implementing the set-up of geographically redundant services
  • Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guideline
  • Orchestrating and automating cloud-based platforms
  • Plan & facilitate all required IT security reviews of the applications identified for cloud migration
  • Understand PMI/ITIL – Service Management / Cloud Infrastructure as a service best practices in the organization
  • Helps to identify priorities and resource requirements for each project or program
  • Makes strategic and tactical recommendations to Cloud management to ensure the successful delivery of projects into the Cloud ecosystem
  • Develops tools to drive project/program management success
  • Prepare assigned project resources with necessary project-related information, ensuring a proper understanding of project requirements, roles & responsibilities, work processes, and success criteria
  • Implement the necessary project management infrastructure (project plans, issues lists, communication plans
  • Training teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives providing associated training as required
  • Employing exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before the snowball into problems
  • Extensive knowledge of APIs to design RESTful services, and integrate them with existing data providers, using JSON or XML as needed

Skills/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Minimum of eight to ten years of experience in IT with a strong technical competency, including at least three to five years of experience in a managing Cloud Engineering and leading an operations team
  • Certification in Oracle cloud solution, Cloud Security, (Other cloud-related certification also a plus)
  • Extensive hands-on experience with building and managing scalable cloud services, including experience with at least one private Cloud Services platform (OpenStack, vCloud Suite, CloudStack)
  • Solid understanding of standard Internet services and protocols (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP)
  • Experience with Linux/Unix configuration management facilities (SVN, Git) and package managers (RPM, YUM), OpenStack, Rackspace, Docker
  • Knowledge of web services API, REST and RPC
  • Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and distributed networks
  • Database experience, Including knowledge of SQL and NoSQL, Oracle DB an related data store
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals
  • Skilled at working in tandem with a team of engineers, or alone as required
