Job Description:

Ask Sage, a leading provider of secure and extensible multi-modal generative AI platforms, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Infrastructure and Security Engineer. This critical role involves privileged access to our cloud instances and systems, including our FedRAMP high and Department of Defense environments.


Responsibilities:

1. Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure for the organization, including Azure Government enclaves and Kubernetes clusters.
2. Deploy, configure, test, secure, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
3. Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
4. Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
5. Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
6. Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
7. Provide 2nd and 3rd level support.
8. Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
9. Maintain our environment to comply with FedRAMP high requirements and provide monthly reporting.
10. Secure and maintain the stack to fix any cybersecurity vulnerability, CVE, etc.
11. Ensure our SLAs are met and the platform is up and stable.
12. Build all automation to achieve these tasks with ease and visibility, automated alerting, etc.
13. Uphold and enforce Ask Sage's privacy and security policies, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
14. Regularly review system security measures and recommend enhancements.
15. Conduct regular audits to ensure security practices are compliant with internal and external standards.
16. Collaborate with the team to communicate privacy concerns and data protection strategies.


Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cloud Infrastructure and Security Engineer, specifically with Azure Government. Additional experience with AWS is preferred.
2. Deep understanding of Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
3. Experience in running government cloud operations, including FedRAMP.
4. Possession of relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Security+.
5. Ability to pass a thorough background check.
6. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Department of Defense security clearance.
7. U.S. citizenship is required.

 


Screening Criteria:

1. Background Check: A thorough background check will be conducted, including verification of employment history, education credentials, and any criminal records. Any involvement in activities that may pose a risk to national security will also be checked.
2. Security Clearance: The candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
3. Fingerprinting: A fingerprinting process will be implemented for accurate identification and to assist in conducting background checks.
4. Certification: The candidate must possess a CISSP or Security+ certification.
5. U.S. Citizenship: The candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
6. Reference Checks: Thorough reference checks will be conducted to gather insights into the candidate's professional conduct, reliability, and trustworthiness.
7. Personal Interviews: In-depth interviews will be conducted to assess the candidate's knowledge, skills, and experience related to the role.
