Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

Austin, TX (Remote within Texas)

10 months Contract with possibility to extension

 

Description:

Resource will support the Client’s DCO Business Enablement Platform (BEP) hub and spoke cloud infrastructure on Azure and AWS. This position will focus on cloud infrastructure, work closely with the Client’s BEP cloud team, HHS Applications, Cloud providers, DCS and 3rd party vendors to build, possibly architect, maintain, configure, monitor, administer and secure cloud infrastructure. The resource will attend daily team meetings, and multiple cadences with application side support for new projects and steady state efforts.

 

Required Experience/Skills:

3+years of:

  • Experience with solutioning and configuring cloud infrastructure (Azure and/or AWS).
  • Experience with DevOps, Kubernetes architecture, support, and engineering.
  • Experience with Containerization and deploying and configuring microservices. DevOps and Continuous Integration/ Continuous Design (CI/CD).
  • Proficient automation skillset using a combination of command language scripting (Bash, Korn, PowerShell, Azure CLI, Helm) and third-party tools.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and operations tools such as Sysdig Secure, Dynatrace, Cloud native toolset (AWS CloudWatch, GCP Cloud Operations, Azure Monitor, OCI Monitoring, etc.).
  • Experience with declarative and imperative languages (e.g., yaml, json, ruby etc.).
  • Good knowledge and experience with securing cloud networking, disaster recovery and integration with Azure, AWS, GCP or OCI cloud IaaS/PaaS services,
  • Knowledge and/or hands-on experience with cloud database services (Rational/NoSQL and SQL/Oracle) data lakes and cloud ETL/ELT best practices, suitable frameworks of handling all types of data for structured and unstructured information.
  • Understanding services like Azure Data Factory, OCI Data Integrator, Google Data Fusion, AWS Kinesis, Data Sync, Data copy.
  • Experience and understanding of best practices for optimizing IT infrastructure, tracing, and troubleshooting, addressing recovery and back up, aligning with standards, policy and IT information security controls.
  • Effective written and oral communication

 

Preferred Skills:

  • One or more Cloud certifications for AWS, Google or Oracle Certified Engineer, Cloud Certified Solutions Architect, Data Architect, DevOps Engineer and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with solutioning and configuring cloud infrastructure (Azure and/or AWS).
