Cloud Solutions Architect

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity in Jacksonville, FL. In this role, you will design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions, focusing on SaaS and PaaS platforms. You will bring an unbiased approach to identifying the best solution for our clients' needs, evaluating various cloud services and third-party tools to enhance and integrate their cloud environments. The role requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies, identity and access management (IAM) solutions, and cloud security practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Solution Design: Architect and design cloud solutions using SaaS and PaaS platforms. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the deployment and integration of these solutions align with business requirements.
• Platform Evaluation: Evaluate different cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.), and choose the best solution for specific use cases while ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
• Third-Party Integration: Work with third-party products such as Okta, Ping Identity, and CyberArk to integrate identity and access management solutions (IAM), ensuring secure and efficient user authentication and authorization.
• Cloud Security & IAM: Lead initiatives to implement best practices in cloud security, certifying identities, and managing secure vaulting solutions for storing sensitive information, particularly using tools like CyberArk.
• Solution Deployment: Oversee the deployment of cloud-based applications, ensuring they meet performance, availability, and security standards.
• Consultation & Recommendations: Provide thought leadership and guidance to internal teams and clients on the best solutions based on their needs, while maintaining an unbiased approach.
• Documentation & Training: Document architectures, design patterns, and cloud configurations. Provide training and support to the internal team and end-users.

Required Skills & Expertise:

• Cloud Architecture: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with SaaS and PaaS platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
• IAM & Security: Strong experience with identity and access management solutions, especially CyberArk, Okta, Ping Identity, or similar third-party tools. Experience in certifying identities and implementing vaulting solutions for managing secrets and sensitive data.
• Solution Design & Deployment: Experience in designing and deploying scalable cloud-based applications, ensuring proper integration with IAM systems.
• Unbiased Decision Making: Ability to evaluate different platforms and third-party products impartially and recommend the best fit for a given project or client need.
• Cloud Security Best Practices: Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and practices (e.g., data encryption, network security, compliance with industry standards like HIPAA, GDPR).
• Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and experience presenting solutions to senior leadership.

Nice to Haves (Additional Skills):

• Cloud Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect certification.
• Automation & DevOps Tools: Familiarity with cloud automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• CyberArk Expertise: Hands-on experience with CyberArk vaulting solutions for identity management and secure storage of credentials.
• Cloud Governance: Experience implementing governance, compliance, and audit strategies within cloud environments.
