Cloud Support Engineer

Job Description:

Title: Cloud Support Engineer 

Work Mode: On-site 

Location: Seattle, WA, United States (40% Remote) 

Responsibilities:

·       You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting the operational aspects of Investment Managements Cloud Program.

 

·       You will be responsible to provide frontline Cloud operational support, incident management, and administration including AWS, Snowflake, MongoDB Atlas, and Confluent Cloud Identity and Access Management across various Cloud platforms Cloud secrets management including deployment, rotation, and tooling integration.

 

·       You will be responsible to design and implement centralized observability and monitoring/alerting solutions to ensure availability.

 

·       You will have to manage Cloud backup and recovery solutions for critical infrastructure Assist with implementation of Cloud Security policies and guardrails.

 

·       You will have to create and maintain Terraform IaC to ensure architectural consistency and security.

 

·       You will have to design and implement best practices for operational excellence, security, reliability, performance, efficiency, and cost optimization across Cloud platforms.

 

·       You will have to create and maintain documentation related to the Cloud Program.

·       You will have to mentor junior team members on secure Cloud Ops design principles and IaC.

 

·       You must stay current with industry trends and lead operational innovation initiatives.

Requirements:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience with an AWS Cloud Architect Associate certification or equivalent 3+ years hands on AWS Support experience.

 

·       5+ years hands on experience in Information Technology, preferably in financial services.

 

·       Strong knowledge of Terraform or Python based orchestration tooling and source control experience (Github).
