As a Cloud System Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and functionality of our company's cloud infrastructures, including Linux servers, AWS, and GCP platforms. You will play a key role in managing our cloud resources, ensuring optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Administer and manage Linux servers, ensuring high performance and availability.
  • Oversee cloud-based services on AWS and GCP, including setup, maintenance, and optimisation.
  • Understand and implement HPC tools for cluster management.
  • Manage NAS (Network-Attached Storage) drives, ensuring efficient storage solutions.
  • Implement and maintain cloud security measures.
  • Conduct regular system audits.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and resolve any issues related to cloud infrastructure.
  • Automate cloud-based tasks using scripting Skills and Qualifications :
  • Proven experience as a Cloud System Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux server administration.
  • Proficiency with cloud services on AWS and GCP.
  • Familiarity with HPC basics and cluster setup.
  • Experience with NAS storage management.
  • Knowledge of cloud security practices and data protection.
  • Ability to script in languages like Python, Bash, or Perl.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

     

Preferred Skills

 

  • Certifications in AWS, GCP, Linux, or similar.
  • Experience with network administration and firewalls.
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with containerisation technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
