COBOL Developer

Requirements

Must have experience in Life Insurance & Annuity TPA business, involving multiple product lines. (bullet below is from hiring manager and is an absolute must have for this role)
Looking for a COBOL SME that also understands how insurance products work. [Ex. - Term, Whole Life, ISWL, UL, VUL, and Fixed, Variable and Indexed Annuities] 
Experience with the SDLC using Waterfall and Agile methodologies. 
Experience translating business requirements and gaps into technical specifications. 
8 years of experience programming and debugging using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and CICS technologies. 
Working knowledge of relational databases (DB2/SQL/Oracle). 
Experience performing application enhancements by referring to the Business Specification Documentation. 
Experience configuring new product launches in the Life & Annuity domain, enhancing existing products. 
Experience integrating items including DTCC, DST, Claims, and any Agency Systems.

Preferred

Working knowledge of Java, Python, Shell Scripting, and Linux.
