Cobol Mainframe Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cobol Mainframe Developer with 5 to 9 years of hands-on experience in Cobol programming and mainframe technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting mainframe applications. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. The position requires occasional travel to client sites in various countries, including Indonesia, Philippines, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and others.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain Cobol-based mainframe applications.
• Perform system analysis, design, coding, and testing based on user requirements.
• Debug and resolve technical issues in existing applications.
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand and implement business requirements.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards.
• Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications and user manuals.
• Participate in system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines and deliverables.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in Cobol and mainframe technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5 to 9 years of experience in Cobol programming and mainframe technologies.
• Strong knowledge of JCL, CICS, VSAM, and DB2.
• Experience with mainframe tools such as TSO, ISPF, and SDSF.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to client sites in various countries, including Indonesia, Philippines, Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc.
