Cognos Developer

Description: Client had developed CMA code (Content Management Administration) in 2017. It is a web-based application and developed in JAVA/ JSP.

The client uses the application to update Financial Institution/ User entitlements. The minute you select users/ assign respective entitlements and press submit button in the CMA web application, it updates backend NETEZZA tables and Business Objects CMC (Central Management Console – Users/ Groups)

Skills Required:  JAVA, JSP, JAVA SDK, Cognos SDK and Tomcat (Mandatory)

                             Business Objects SDK, NETEZZA and Snowflake (optional)

Responsibilities: 

• 1: Review and understand the current CMA (Content Management Administration) code   (JAVA Source Code)
• 2: Establish connections from Java CMA code to Snowflake database Environment & Cognos Analytics Environment
• 3: Change the source code to point to Snowflake database/ tables instead of NETEZZA database/tables
• 4: Change the source code to update Cognos Analytics instead of Business Objects CMC
• 5: Create the executable package (EXE) and complete end to end testing.
• 6: CI/ CD Transport to upper environments
• 7: Schedule the EXE application to run on top of every hour
