Compliance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Independent Contractor (IC) Compliance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be joining a team responsible for managing and maintaining the independent contractor screening process, risk management and operations globally. The ideal candidate will come from a paralegal or employment-related compliance background with a strong understanding of worker classification rules, Master Services Agreements (MSAs) or contracts in general , legal clauses, freelancer agreements, and have experience working with Agency of Record (AOR) relationships.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the compliance of independent contractor relationships across the EMEA and APAC regions

Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and contractual agreements

Review and negotiate Master Services Agreements (MSAs), freelancer agreements, and other legal documents

Develop and maintain relationships with independent contractors, ensuring clear communication and understanding of expectations

Work closely with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and HR departments, to ensure alignment on contractor management processes and procedures

Provide guidance and support to internal teams on IC engagement processes and best practices

Qualifications: 
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field

Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in independent contractor compliance and or contract administration

Strong background in paralegal work with a focus on contract management and negotiation

Excellent understanding of worker classification concepts and application, Master Services Agreements (MSAs), legal clauses, and freelancer agreements

Familiarity with Agency of Record (AOR) relationships is preferred

Familiarity with freelance management platforms is preferred
