Consumption Analyst

Description

The analyst will support initiatives primarily from the Software Asset Management and IT Sourcing category within organization conducting ongoing reviews of the consumption, license entitlements, and risks associated with utilizing third-party software in the Firm.

The analyst will also be required to demonstrate the ability to think strategically and act as a thought-partner with teammates, senior leadership, and key stakeholders

Responsibilities

·         Utilize an industry-leading asset management solution to manage clients' software proactively.

·         Responsible for consumption tracking, reporting for cloud hosting and software licenses.

·         Provide proactive asset optimization reporting as part of a scheduled service.

·         Create consumption dashboards to/for software and hosting (Cost and resource utilization).

·         Assist the team in compiling full licensing positions and optimization reports for multiple software vendors, with the opportunity to progress into full ownership of the project.

·         Track the utilization of resources and identify the areas for cost reduction.

·         Work on software renewals. Coordinate the renewals with vendors and procurement.

Skills & Experience

·         Minimum 5+ year enterprise-class software license experience and cloud engineering software.

·         Good to have CI/CD and infra tools.

·         Experience reviewing and interpreting software contracts to determine software license attributes and entitlements

·         Good report development skills and Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel with the ability to join large amounts of data through SQL queries and a strong proficiency in the use of advanced formulas and pivot tables

·         Strong collaboration and coordination skills.

·         Demonstrated analytical capabilities along with the ability to translate analysis into tactics and results.

·         Ability to work well with others, contribute to team values and rapport-building across the organization

·         Effective prioritization skills with the ability to execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

·         Ability to work flexible schedules and travel interstate

·         Nice to have scripting knowledge Python/Power shell or any other scripting language

·         Outstanding written skills and experience setting forth achievable and specific organizational objectives concisely
