Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team.
- Maintain and enhance system of internal controls to safeguard assets, minimize risks, ensure accuracy of records and compliance with regulations and laws.
- Ensure consolidated financial statements are prepared timely, accurately and in compliance with GAAP, including monthly financial reporting packages and annual statements with footnote disclosures.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines.
- Coordinate interactions with external auditors to ensure timely completion of annual audits.
- Support evaluation and implementation of ERP solutions.
- Oversee accounting and financial aspects of acquisitions, ensuring seamless integration and financial success.
- Work closely with FP&A to analyze costs to identify areas of inefficiency.
- Support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
- Provide ad hoc financial analyses as needed and assist with special projects as required.
Top skills you need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration.
- CPA designation required.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- Experience in distribution or retail preferred.
- Strong technical accounting skills.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Experience with ERP systems migrations.
- Detail oriented and proficient in Excel.
