Description

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team.
  • Maintain and enhance system of internal controls to safeguard assets, minimize risks, ensure accuracy of records and compliance with regulations and laws.
  • Ensure consolidated financial statements are prepared timely, accurately and in compliance with GAAP, including monthly financial reporting packages and annual statements with footnote disclosures.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Coordinate interactions with external auditors to ensure timely completion of annual audits.
  • Support evaluation and implementation of ERP solutions.
  • Oversee accounting and financial aspects of acquisitions, ensuring seamless integration and financial success.
  • Work closely with FP&A to analyze costs to identify areas of inefficiency.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analyses as needed and assist with special projects as required.

Top skills you need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration.
  • CPA designation required.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Public accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience in distribution or retail preferred.
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems migrations.
  • Detail oriented and proficient in Excel.
