Job Title: COOP Planner

We are seeking experienced COOP/Information Security/Cybersecurity Engineers to join our dynamic team in support of the Army Chief Information Officer CIO and the G-6 office in the National Capitol Region. As a COOP Planner, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the Army's cybersecurity and risk management efforts while ensuring the continuity of operations planning (COOP) mission is executed effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide subject matter expertise in support of the Army's Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP) mission.

Collaborate with DOD and other organizations to evaluate new cybersecurity initiatives.

Develop and/or provide recommendations for COOP policies, directives, IT designs, COOP compliance, and coordination.

Ensure that Army policies related to IT aspects of emergency management programs align with regulatory requirements and legislation mandates.

Assist in the development of goals, objectives, long-and short-range plans, procedures, and operations for implementing, maintaining, monitoring, and evaluating the effectiveness of the Army's emergency communications architecture.

Collaborate with DOD stakeholders and provide senior-level briefings to Army and DOD leadership on the Army's COOP IT efforts and initiatives.

Offer COOP subject matter expertise in the development of the Army CIO/G-6 COOP Operations Plan (OPLAN), Mission Essential Functions, COOP IT initiatives, IT Exercise Implementation, and Network management.

Coordinate the mobilization of necessary equipment, communications capabilities, and personnel to enable COOP communication capabilities during emergencies and COOP events.

Provide action officer support in the management of Army and Joint taskers, including proficiency in the Army staffing process and operation of the Army Task Management Tracker (TMT) system and other DOD Tasker tools.

Develop briefing slides, meeting notes, Executive Summaries, White Papers, SOPs, detailed instructions, after-action reports, lessons learned critiques, and operational summaries as required.

Monitor department events in support of COOP/COG, Emergency Relocation Group (ERG) activations, and inter/intra-agency exercises. Identify potential problems or deficiencies and make recommendations for resolution or improvement.

Evaluate and analyze the current state of available resources and make recommendations for the acquisition of required capabilities to meet immediate requirements for emergency service.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a relevant field.

5+ years of experience in COOP, Information Security, or Cybersecurity.

Strong knowledge of COOP policies, directives, and IT compliance.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide senior-level briefings.

Proficiency in task management tools, including the Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) and Army Task Management Tracker (TMT).

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work collaboratively with DOD stakeholders and other organizations.
