Summary:
As a Data Analyst, you will serve a pivotal role supporting data-driven projects that fuel internal digital transformation efforts. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing and deriving valuable insights from extensive datasets, including data from large websites with over 50,000 pages. You will work to merge, normalize and harmonize data from multiple disparate sources into single datasets that support analysis of website performance for optimization, migrations and content deprecations. You'll guide teams through the complexities and intricacies of large datasets, delivering actionable insights that shape our business strategies.
Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively to produce comprehensive views of content inventories and performance data to support analysis, insights, and recommendations for stakeholders, content creators, taxonomists, and teams involved in content migration or deprecation.
Extract website inventories and metadata from various sources including AEM, Wordpress, Screaming Frog (site crawler), Botify, etc.
Overlay performance data from Google Analytics, Google Search Console, internal datasets, etc.
Focus primarily on data processing tasks such as merging complex datasets, cleansing, de-duping, and creating accurate and filterable reports in spreadsheets like Google Sheets or Excel.
Produce visualizations based on the data to illustrate insights including charts, Tableau Vizzes, and other storytelling visuals.
Develop spreadsheets for handoff to Ops teams for automating tasks such as bulk tagging of content from the auto-classification process or mass content deprecation.
Specifically manage and produce the Global Content Inventory, the single source of truth (SSOT) for all pages on the corporate website, including associated metadata and GA performance data (60K+ rows and 160+ columns).
Work to automate the production of the Global Content Inventory into a nearly real-time report. Utilize Python scripts, Vlookups, or other methods to automate data processing and generate required views.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a web analytics or digital marketing environment.
Proficiency in extracting and processing data from various sources including Website CMS, Website crawlers, Google Analytics, Big Query and more.
Strong skills in data processing including merging complex datasets, data cleansing, de-duplication, and report generation using tools like Google Sheets or Excel.
Experience with scripting languages like Python for automating data processing tasks.
Familiarity with visualization tools such as Tableau for creating compelling visualizations to communicate insights effectively.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Attention to detail and ability to manage large datasets efficiently.
