ABOUT THE ROLE:
VPT (Virginia Permitting Transparency) project
A Data Architect is required build and edit Data Factory pipelines, manage database needs, reporting, work with customers on file issues and perform data research.
This individual will be expected to work with the current application development team to provide enhancements and support on VITA's system.
The following are the expected experience/skills:
- 5+ years hands-on experience in Oracle 12c or greater isrequired.
- 5+ years serving in a data architecture position isrequired.
- 5+ years experience building data flows using ETL tools isrequired. Azure Data Factory experience is required.
- Ability to architect and model mission critical RDMS, BI,OLTP, OLAP and solutions leveraging multiple DBMS technologies is required.
- Extensive experience with Data Analysis, Data Profiling,Data Flows and Data Modeling is required.
- Azure Power BIexperience required
Demonstrated experience with profiling and loading files fromvarious data sources which include RDMBS, OLAP cubes, mainframe file systems,web services, APIs, XML, text files and other documents is required.
- Extensive experience creating and implementing ETL processesis required.
- Ability to work with both business and technical users todefine and gather reporting/analytics requirements with experience translatingbusiness and technical requirements into comprehensive data reportingstrategies and analytic solutions is required.

- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, deliveringquality systems in short time frames, is required.

- Ability to communicate effectively and work with bothbusiness and technical users across all levels of the organization is required.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively on project teams, andto work independently with minimal supervision, is required.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive,productive working relationships with customers and co-workers while deliveringquality systems in short time frames is required.
- Experience with Azure PowerBI and PowerAutomate is nice tohave.
-Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure Dataverse is nice to have.
