Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect with expertise in modeling data lake and data warehouse environments, as well as extensive experience in database analysis, optimization, and query performance optimization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database table retrievals, partitions, indexing, and query optimization techniques.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement logical and physical data models for data lake and data warehouse environments.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data models.
Develop and maintain data architecture standards and best practices for data lake and data warehouse implementations.
Design and implement data partitioning strategies to enhance query performance on large datasets.
Define and implement appropriate indexing strategies to optimize data retrieval operations.
Analyze database performance and identify areas for optimization, including query tuning, index optimization, and database configuration tuning.
Collaborate with database administrators and developers to optimize database performance and resolve performance issues.
Conduct thorough database analysis to identify and resolve bottlenecks and performance challenges.
Perform capacity planning and recommend hardware/software upgrades to support data architecture requirements.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data architecture, data management, and query optimization.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven experience as a Data Architect, specifically in modeling data lake and data warehouse environments.
Strong understanding of database table retrievals, partitions, indexing, and query optimization techniques.
Proficiency in data modeling tools such as ERwin or PowerDesigner.
Expertise in SQL programming and query optimization.
Experience with data warehousing platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, Clickhouse or any columnar database.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex database performance issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in data architecture and query optimization.
