Duration: – short term/part time

  • Is an expert in Microsoft Azure data workflows – especially:
    • creating and troubleshooting Microsoft Azure Function Apps
  • understands Microsoft Azure Data Factory workflows, usage of Azure Key Vault to protect secrets
  • Would be able to do this troubleshooting engagement remotely just from viewing code and resources over a screenshare vs. granting them direct access to the Azure code environment.
  • The problem – Developer is able to successfully trigger an async Azure Function workflow when running the C# code directly from the Visual Studio IDE.

When running the same Function App code from within Azure Data the job gives a success message but does not actually run.

We’re not getting any error messages, stack traces or any other feedback from the system of what went wrong or where.

The Azure function workflows:

  •  
    • Pull data from either external APIs or CSVs manually placed in Azure Blob storage,
    • Perform transformations within Azure Data Factory, and pull credentials from Azure Key Vault
    • Populate an Azure SQL database that we will query using Microsoft Power BI
