Data engineer

Role Overview:  

Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes. 

Utilize Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) to create data solutions that support business needs. Strong skills needed in Microsoft Power Platform. 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights. 

Implement data integration solutions to connect various data sources and ensure data quality and consistency. 

Develop and maintain data models, databases, and data warehouses. 

Optimize data workflows for performance and scalability. 

Monitor and troubleshoot data-related issues to ensure system reliability. 

Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data engineering and Microsoft Power Platform. 

Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of software development projects, from conception to completion with focus on Data and AI. 

Work closely with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria. 

Utilize safe agile practices to manage project budgets, timelines, and quality requirements. 

Present project updates, manage expectations, and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams. 

Continuously monitor project progress, identify areas for improvement, and optimize processes. 

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 

Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role. 

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate). 

Experience with SQL, Python, and data modeling. 

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. 

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

Strong communication and collaboration skills. 

Experience with data visualization tools and techniques. 

Certification in Microsoft Power Platform or related technologies. 

Ability to work 3-4 hours with US East Coast time (EST) with team members based in Northern Virginia, USA.  

Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services and tools. 

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal teams. 

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively. 

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks 

Ability to translate the technical into business language
