Data Engineer

We have an immediate long-term opportunity with one of our prime clients for a position of Data Engineer to work on Remote basis.

Pay Rate: $65 to $70/hr W2

Must Have:-     

• Ideally 3-5 years of experience
• The screening questions cover: database/SQL server, SSIS, SSRS, Azure Data Factory Pipelines, and Databricks

Position:

Data Engineer Level 2 - Perform tasks with limited supervision and require substantial use of independent judgment within the scope of advanced engineering assignments.

Skills Required:

1.         Extensive Microsoft SQL Server Skills with “Large data sizes” including the creation and optimization of Stored Procedures, Tables, Views, Common Table Expressions, Partitions, etc.

2.         High familiarity with creating SSIS packages and perform efficient ETL/ELT processes and know when to use each.

3.         Experience with Azure SQL Databases, Azure Data Factory Pipelines and Data Bricks and familiarity with other Azure services.

4.         Ability to work on multiple projects independently without detailed instructions.

5.         Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of products and PowerBI/SSRS Reports.

Job Description:

• Design, build and implement processes for ingestion, transformation, and population of our Azure SQL Server Databases from a variety of sources including REST APIs.
• Use existing skills to create new report aggregation tables in an efficient and optimized manner.
• Collaborate with and assist other team members to bring projects to completion.
• Must be self-driven to learn other aspects of the business to better understand the data.
