Data Engineer Roles and Responsibilities

: • Strong Leadership and Strategic Vision for data model designs, database development standards, implementation and management of data warehouses and data analytics systems 

• Expertise in AL/ML and NLP

 • Design and implement secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud data architectures to run the analytics and data science model. 

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes. 

• Drive the development and application of advanced analytics models to unlock valuable insights and optimize business processes. 

• Own and manage the entire cloud data migration and implementation lifecycle, from planning and design to execution and optimization. 

• Implement data governance policies and ensure data quality, security, and compliance.

 Ensure that the database meets any regulations and standards when dealing with sensitive data.

 • Own and manage the entire data project lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and maintenance.

 • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and translate them into actionable data strategies. • Articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences with clarity and conciseness. 

• Create technical documentation pertaining to a database’s functionality, its ancillary tools, and how they work together to provide all the needed functionality.

 • Stay up-to-date on the latest cloud data trends and technologies and recommend their application to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. • Proactively identify and mitigate data-related risks and challenges in cloud environment. 

• Manage budgets, resources, and deadlines effectively, ensuring team success and project delivery on time and within budget. • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. •

 Be the go-to expert and trusted advisor on all things data-related, shaping the future of our data-driven culture.

 Qualifications/ Skill: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • 10-12 years of experience as a Data Architect / Data Science / similar role. • Extensive expertise in advanced analytics, machine learning & analytics modelling. • Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and associated services (e.g., S3, EC2 etc.). • Expertise in data modelling, cloud data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance. • In depth understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and new technologies. • Strong Expertise in Cloud architecture and integration • Proficiency in programming languages ( Python) and data manipulation tools • Expertise in SQL, Oracle DB queries etc. • Proficiency on Snowflake Platform • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. • Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines, budgets, and resources effectively. • Passion for continuous learning and a drive to stay ahead of the data curve.
