Description

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required. Equivalent work experience may substitute for the degree requirement.

Scope of Services:

  • Gather and assess business information needs and prepare system requirements.
  • Perform analyses, development, and evaluation of data mining within the Snowflake cloud data warehouse environment.
  • Utilize Informatica PowerCenter, Intelligent Data Quality, and Enterprise Data Catalog for data design, database architecture, and data management.
  • Employ data mining and analysis tools including Power BI and Tableau.
  • Review and validate data accuracy in the data warehouse.
  • Interact with the user community to produce reporting requirements.
  • Provide technical consulting on data usage and resolve conflicts.
  • Prototype solutions, build and test data integration processes including data replication, extraction, loading, cleansing, and transformation.
  • Maintain enterprise data modeling and stay updated with relevant software tools, languages, and scripts.

Primary Job Duties/Tasks:

  1. Demonstrated experience in Data Integration and Data Warehousing with Snowflake Data Cloud and Informatica IICS Cloud Data Integration tools.
  2. Proven expertise in ETL or ELT tasks, including extraction, transformation, and loading of data.
  3. Participate in strategic planning for the design and development of the Snowflake enterprise data warehouse/data-lake-house.
  4. Analyze transactional data stores and develop data warehouse models to optimize reporting and analytics.
  5. Coach and mentor peers in data warehousing concepts and tools for data analysis, warehouse modeling, and population.
  6. Prototype, build, and test Power BI and Tableau reports and dashboards.
  7. Assist in developing and maintaining methods and practices documentation.

Experience:

  • At least 7 years of IT experience in data management and business intelligence tools.
  • Extensive experience with Informatica IICS Cloud Data Integration tools and Snowflake is preferred.

Key Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Experience designing data models for Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
  2. Familiarity with Informatica on-premises products like PowerCenter and Data Quality.
  3. Knowledge of ELT with Change Data Capture solutions such as PowerExchange.
  4. Experience with IBM Mainframes COBOL, JCL, and DB2 analysis.
  5. Proficiency in IICS Cloud Administration and Snowflake Data Cloud Administration.
  6. Ability to collect and maintain data warehouse metadata.
  7. Experience in Informatica IICS Cloud and Snowflake Data Cloud performance tuning.
  8. Familiarity with Data Governance products like EDC, Axon, and CDGC.
