Roles and Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement Teradata database solutions.
Map source system attributes to targets within the FSLDM.
Map FSDLM structures to target structures in downstream data marts.
Create and optimize SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
Work on database modeling, indexing, and partitioning to ensure optimal performance.
Develop and maintain ETL processes using tools like Teradata Utilities (Fast Load, MultiLoad, BTEQ, etc.).
Collaborate with data architects and other teams to ensure seamless data integration across different platforms.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in Teradata databases.
Optimize queries, indexing strategies, and database configurations for better efficiency.
Contribute to the design and maintenance of data warehouse structures.
Implement data warehousing best practices and standards.
Implement and maintain data security measures, including access controls and encryption, to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
Provide support for Teradata-related issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions.
Requirement and Skills
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Teradata database technologies.
Good understanding of Financial logical Data Model Teradata (FSLDM).
Proficient in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
Experience with Teradata utilities such as FastLoad, MultiLoad, BTEQ, and other ETL tools.
Familiarity with data modeling concepts and the ability to design efficient database structures.
Strong skills in performance tuning of Teradata databases, including query optimization and indexing strategies.
Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Unix Shell scripting is a plus.
Experience in customizing the FSLDM model
