For this position, the client is NOT seeking a hands-on Telecom Engineer. Prior experience as a Network/Telecom Engineer is a plus, but not required.  This position is more of a Project Coordinator role.  This resource will be managing the data that is used to plan and schedule telephony migrations for Montgomery County. More important than prior experience on a Telecom project, is current and strong skills in Excel, managing databases, collecting, validating, and reporting on data. This person supports the Project Managers and any stakeholders providing or requesting information about the telephony migration projects.  The data being given or shared can be about number of users, number of sites, status of the current site, vendors assigned to a job site, etc. Bachelor's degree with excellent organization, communication, MS Excel, and SQL skills are required. This is not a Senior Project Manager job, this is not an Engineering job, this is a Project Coordinator/Mid level Project Manager job on a telephony engineering project.   Responsibilities: • Collaborate closely with the client Telecom team, project management team, and other key personnel to gather and update user, telephone extension, and associated data for departments and migration sites. • Work with database and front-end developers to enhance and maintain an online database for organizing user and extension data. • Manage requests for database exports and reports. • Support the Telecom team and departments in the data true-up process to ensure accurate data alignment before migrating users to their assigned telephony solution. • Work with project team members to cross-verify data and correct any discrepancies. • Assist the Telecom team in preparing and submitting final reports to vendors in preparation for site migrations. • Serve as the primary point of contact for managing the online database, developing all associated documentation and training materials for database users. • Schedule and conduct training sessions for database users and department migration leads. Required: • Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field. • Proven experience in data management, with a focus on data collection, validation, and reporting. • Expert skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization tools to manage and analyze complex datasets. • Experience with Microsoft Teams and Avaya telephony solutions is highly advantageous. • Understanding of database technologies, data modeling, and SQL. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with various stakeholders. • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. • Proficiency in data management software and tools. • Capable of creating clear and comprehensive documentation and training materials for non-technical users. Desired: • Prior experience as a Telecom Engineer or Project Manager on a telephony migration project.
