Data Migration & Management Stream Lead

Role Description:

The "Data Migration & Management Workstream Lead" plans and manages deliverables related to the "Data Management and Migration" project stream, ensuring timely completion in accordance with the overall project roadmap. The objective is to prepare, migrate, and validate master and transaction data to support key phases of the project life cycle and solution deployment, including the transition into the operational data management process.

Key Metrics:

• On-time migration of master data and transaction data (volume and quality)
• Data Quality (established error rates by project events)
• Number of master-related issues during the test cycles and after deployment of the solution

Key Deliverables and Responsibilities during the Explore Phase:

• Develops the strategy and detailed plan for the Data Migration and Management project stream.
• Supports the scoping and identification of data migration objects (master data, transaction data, and balances) and their ownership for preparation, mapping, and validation
• Coordinates the overall data migration effort as a critical integration role across other process steams and E2E process value streams
• Participate in Master Data design fit to standard sessions and ensure that the future-state master data design is documented and revised throughout the project life cycle
• Coordinates the data mapping from the current-state to the future-state design in collaboration with A6 data stewards and Reply master data experts
• Aligns the overall data migration effort with other workstreams, ensuring data are prepared and loaded to ensure data are available when needed, e.g., for the integration and user acceptance cycles
• Prepares process steps to ensure high data quality, including adjustments to master data design throughout the project, mapping procedures, and pre-load and post-load validation steps
• Support the tool selection for data extraction, mapping, staging, load, and validation of data and the training of core and extended team members who work on the data migration effort.

Post Explore Phase:

• Oversees execution of data migration plan, including testing and validation of data.
• Ensure a successful transition from the project-related data migration to the ongoing data governance process, including the establishment and monitoring of dual maintenance processes throughout the Activate Deploy phase
• Coordinates direct and indirect data migration resources on execution of plan developed including:
• Master data governance roles (Data Governance Lead, Data Stewards, Data Owners)
• Solution design roles (Functional Leads, Master Data Experts)
• Team members of the Data Migration & Management project stream
