What are we looking for?

For our specialized team, we are looking for a Data Modeler Expert with a background with Snowflake, with the possibility of working 100% remotely from Spain. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing data structures to support our organization's data needs. The Data Modeler will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication between business requirements and technical implementations, promoting data integrity, security, and scalability This role will contribute to a project(s) with one of our global customers in the finantial sector.

Key Responsibilities

 

• Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for various business domains.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into robust data structures.
• Implement and enforce data standards, ensuring consistency and integrity across the organization's databases.
• Optimize database performance through effective indexing, partitioning, and query optimization strategies.
• Work closely with development teams to integrate data models into applications, ensuring seamless functionality.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies, addressing data quality, privacy, and compliance concerns.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance data modelling processes.
• Create comprehensive documentation for data models, ensuring accessibility for team members and stakeholders.
• Participate in data architecture discussions and contribute to the overall data strategy of the organization.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance data modelling skills.
  
   

Qualifications

 

• Proven experience as a Data Modeler or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of common and latest modelling techniques and architectures, (Data Mesh, Data as a Product, Data Vault, Star Schema, Snowflake Schema)
• Experience with Snowflake Data Cloud is valuable.
• Proficiency in data modelling tools and techniques (e.g. Erwin, PowerDesigner, EA Sparx)
• Knowledge of modelling notation languages and methods.
• Strong understanding of database management systems (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Effective communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
