Role: Data Quality Analyst


Responsibilities

 

Conduct data cleansing and enrichment to identify and rectify anomalies, ensuring data quality. As needed, enhance the dataset by appending missing information from reliable external sources.
Data monitoring and reporting monitor the quality of data over time through data quality metrics and develop dashboards and reports for engineering teams, data council and business teams.
Detect emerging issues, track improvements, and identify trends.
Fixing data issues.
Conduct root cause analysis for any issues that surface, document them, and work with other teams to implement appropriate solutions to prevent such problems from occurring again.
Collaborate with data council and relevant teams to recommend changes to data collection, entry, and validation processes.
Collaborate with data council, and relevant teams to establish data quality standards covering aspects such as data accuracy, timeliness, relevance, and consistency. Creating clear and actionable standards ensures a shared understanding of data quality expectations across the organization.


Technical Skills:

 

Experience of modern data stack (preferably Snowflake, AWS, Matillion).
Knowledge of data observability tools such as LightUp.
Proven experience at Data profiling and SQL.
Good knowledge of Data cleansing techniques.
Adept at Data analysis and visualization.
Proficient in Data governance and master data management (MDM).
Good Knowledge of Data integration and ETL tools.
Good Knowledge of data quality metrics.


Soft Skills:

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
An attitude for learning.
