Candidates must possess a strong foundation in econometrics, interpretable machine learning, and statistical inference, coupled with coding proficiency in either R or Python and the flexibility to use the other as necessary. They should also have effective communication skills for engaging with both business stakeholders and technical colleagues.
Work with data warehouse and software engineering team to productize analytic application in a highly interactively dynamic shared ownership environment.
Some maintenance work but mostly new development work.
Must haves: Solid background in econometrics, interpretable machine learning, and statistical inference coupled with a robust statistical and analytical acumen; effective communication skills; proficiency in coding with at least one of R or Python, with the ability to utilize the other as needed; creative, initiative, critical thinking, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
Good to have: experiences in AWS, BigQuery, SQL, R-shiny, and Dash.
Not interested in: Poor communication skills. Poor knowledge of basic statistics. Programmers and DB admins misrepresenting themselves as data scientists.
Required: a bachelors degree and 5 years of experience, or a Masters degree with 3 years, or a PhD, in Economics, Statistics, Marketing, or a related STEM field.
Open to recent graduates with a PhD, as research experience fulfills the requirement for work experience
