Job Description – Managing Data Scientist: Graph Data Science and Graph Databases
We are looking for a Managing Data Scientist who possesses a combination of strong analytical, problem solving and client-facing skills, mixed with a deep technical knowledge of graph data bases and graph data science. You will be a strong communicator and team player who demonstrates passion and curiosity in your approach.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Gathering Business Intelligence/Insights on graph use cases such as Identity Resolution to solve a variety of business problems across our client’s businesses
- Develop Graph Data Science solutions and supporting roadmaps for our client’s transformation agendas
- Architect, design, and implement scalable and efficient graph database identity resolution solutions tailored to complex data relationships and queries
- Lead the design of graph data models for identity resolution and ensure optimal performance for querying and analytics
- Develop and manage graph database solutions such as Neptune, Neo4j or similar graph databases
- Optimize graph databases for performance, including query optimization, indexing, and schema design
- Implement best practices for database indexing, partitioning, and clustering to support large-scale deployments
- Create and maintain comprehensive data models that effectively represent relationships, hierarchies, and network structures for graph use cases (e.g. identity resolution)
- Integrate identity resolution graph databases with existing data systems, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency across platforms.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to graph database engineers and developers, fostering best practices in graph database design and development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and business analysts, to deliver integrated identity resolution solutions
Qualifications
- 7+ years of Data Science experience in model development, model design, and practical application of model deployment into product.
- 1+ year of experience in Data Science model development on graph databases and practical working experience on Graphs/Graph Analytics (identity resolution, social networks, device graphs, knowledge graphs, graph neural networks etc.)
- Strong understanding of graph database concepts and their application in a variety of use cases with hands on experience with a graph database platform such as Neo4j, Tiger Graph, or AWS Neptune
- Extensive experience in developing graph data models (property or RDF) as well as relational data models
- Strong familiarity with AI frameworks such as NumPY, Pandas, Scikit-learn in Python/Pyspark/ or Scala and a strong working knowledge of one graph specific language (Cypher or Gremlin)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure and building data science models in cloud environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, innovative environment with several ongoing concurrent projects.
