The selected candidate will be expected to write the reasoning and code in Jupyter Notebooks with clarity. Job Responsibilities:
- Showcase a strong sense of leadership and aptitude for creating efficient workflows
- Take charge of overseeing the growth and performance of a group of data scientists
- Work with researchers to develop and implement workflows for the data science team
- Write effective, high-quality Python code to solve problems
- Debug code and provide thorough documentation
- Conduct code reviews with peers and offer helpful criticism
- Using free datasets (such as Kaggle, the UN, the US government, etc.), use your data analytic skills to formulate and respond to important business issues
- In order to comprehend requirements and convey findings, efficiently communicate with researchers
- Effectively communicate complicated topics to team members and stakeholders while providing practical assistance with data analysis
- In addition to designing and implementing workflows for the data science team, solve difficult problems
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 7+ years of relevant experience as a Data Scientist Lead/Manager
- 5+ years of Python programming and data science experience
- 2+ years of experience leading a group of at least five employees
- Prolific experience working with Data Science
- Outstanding interpersonal abilities to work well with researchers and stakeholders
- Substantial critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Strong business sense combined with data analytic abilities to identify the key questions to ask from the dataset, provide clear answers, and explain the key findings
- Nice to have some understanding of SQL
- Excellent English communication skills, both conversational and written
