Position: Data Scientist

Duration: until Dec 2021

Job Location: Orlando, FL 32819 - will be remote until they determine when they're returning to the office but would like those to return when they do.

Interview process: 2 step phone/video to hire

 

This candidate will be focusing on consumer to customer segmentation, any one from hotel / retail / restaurant type of environment would be ideal but anyone who is focused on customer acquisition analytics is what they’re looking for.

Daily Responsibilities:

o          Unlock hidden value by connecting new and existing data assets and by creating new analytics products in close collaboration with cross-functional internal teams

o          Propose analytics strategies and solutions that challenge and expand the thinking of key internal business partners

o          Communicating with technical and business audiences, demonstrating the ability to cover complex topics in simple terms, adapting communication technical depth to the audience

o          Frame business problems into actionable data science projects, which will, in turn, create business values for guests, customers, owners and colleagues

o          Work collaboratively, as well as handling workflows in accordance with project timelines is required

o          Develop and deploy high-performance AI/ML models as a leader of the core design and development, leveraging supervised, semi-supervised, unsupervised, and/or reinforcement learning

o          Provide guidance and mentoring to the team, comprised of data engineering and data analysts

o          MSc or PhD degree in machine learning, or computer science/statistics/physics with strong machine learning component

o          Strong experience in predictive analytics, machine learning, and optimization

o          Expertise in machine learning: framing business problems as machine learning problems, building datasets, selecting and engineering features, building and optimizing algorithms

o          Experience with cloud computing solutions, Google Cloud Platform and/or AWS

o          Experience working together with data engineers to deploy data products to production environments

o          Knowledge and experience in SQL, NoSQL databases, Python, Flask, R, Java, C++/C#

o          Experience using a variety of scientific computing, modeling and toolkits, such as GCP AutoML, Open Source R, Knime, Stata, Spark ML, Python's data science stack, and deep learning

o          Experience working in a fast paced commercial environment and excellent organizational skills - this is a fast-moving operation in a high-growth phase, so it's critical to be able to keep multiple balls in the air

o          Experience in customer segmentation, discerning buying habits of new prospects and existing customer/members

o          Strong business/commercial sense to combine with analytics to help drive recommendations; ability to demonstrate an understanding of the commercial impact of their activities

o          Working knowledge of statistics: hypothesis testing, confidence intervals and A/B tests.
