Data Scientist

Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the executive team to define the AI/ML vision, set ambitious goals, and chart a strategic roadmap for AI/ML integration across our products and services.
2. Product / Use case Ideation and Development: Work closely with client product managers and cross-functional teams to ideate, design, and implement AI-powered features that enhance our product offerings and deliver unparalleled value to our customers.
3. Performance Optimization: Spearhead research efforts and implement cutting-edge techniques to optimize AI/ML models and algorithms, achieving greater accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
4. Team Empowerment: Lead and mentor a highly talented team of AI/ML specialists, data scientists, and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
5. Team Performance Tracking: Monitor and assess team performance, providing regular feedback, conducting performance evaluations, and driving professional development plans.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with business leaders, customers, and partners to understand their AI/ML needs, address pain points, and identify opportunities for AI-driven solutions.
7. AI Governance: Develop and implement robust data governance and ethical AI frameworks to ensure responsible and compliant use of AI/ML technologies.
8. R&D and Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest AI/ML advancements and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for novel applications within our business context and driving proof-of-concept initiatives.
9. Industry Recognition: Represent Narwal as an AI/ML thought leader through participation in conferences, workshops, and industry events, sharing insights and fostering partnerships.
10. Patent and Publication: Encourage and support team members to publish research findings in reputable journals and conferences, driving innovation while promoting the brand's expertise.
Qualifications:
• Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related fields.
• 15+ years of experience in the IT field with about 7-10 years in leadership roles.
• Strong and proven background leading data management practice.
• Proven track record of leading successful AI/ML initiatives, with a strong portfolio of AI-driven products or services.
• Expertise in cutting-edge AI/ML technologies, that includes machine learning, including natural language processing, computer vision, reinforcement learning, and deep learning.
• Experience with technologies and tools like Google AutoML, Amazon SageMaker, etc.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing high-performing teams of AI/ML researchers and engineers.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to align AI/ML strategies with overall business objectives.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills to articulate complex technical concepts to technical as well as businessnon-technical stakeholders.
