DATA SDM  for the Scale Migration team, overseeing the migration of on-premise Hadoop big data infrastructure to AWS.

Lead and manage the Agile process, ensuring effective communication between stakeholders and development teams.

Act as the primary point of contact for project requirements, prioritization, and backlog management.

Description

DATA SDM will oversee the migration of on-premise Hadoop ecosystems to AWS, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones while adhering to Agile principles. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to prioritize requirements, manage project scope, and facilitate Scrum ceremonies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in big data technologies and cloud services, combined with experience in leading Agile teams.

1. Agile Leadership: Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
2. Backlog Management: Prioritize and maintain the product backlog, ensuring alignment with project goals and stakeholder expectations.
3. Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact between stakeholders and the development team, managing expectations and delivering regular updates.
4. Sprint Planning: Collaborate with the team to plan sprints, define user stories, and set achievable goals.
5. Scope Management: Ensure the project scope is clearly defined and manage changes effectively.
6. Team Coordination: Foster a collaborative environment, resolve impediments, and support team members in achieving sprint goals.
7. Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation of project requirements, user stories, and progress.
8. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
9. Quality Assurance: Ensure high standards of quality are maintained throughout the migration process.
10. Performance Tracking: Monitor project performance metrics and provide actionable insights for improvement.
11. Resource Management: Coordinate with HR and other departments to ensure adequate resources are available for the project.
12. Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and adjust priorities as needed.
13. Training & Mentoring: Provide guidance and support to team members to enhance their Agile practices and technical skills.
14. Budget Management: Oversee project budget and resource allocation, ensuring efficient use of resources.
15. Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices and learning from past experiences.
16. Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the team or with stakeholders.
17. Process Optimization: Evaluate and improve Agile processes to enhance team productivity and project outcomes.
18. Compliance: Ensure the project complies with organizational standards, policies, and regulations.
19. Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and resources effectively.
20. Innovation: Encourage innovative solutions and approaches to meet project objective

Experience:


Total Experience: 10 - 12  years in Agile project management, with a strong focus on big data migration projects.

Relevant Experience: Experience in leading large-scale data migration projects from on-premise to cloud environments, especially with Hadoop and AWS technologies.

Must haves

Expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)

Strong understanding of big data technologies and migration processes (Hadoop, AWS services)

Proven experience as a Agile Delivery Manager

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Certifications

Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or Any Agile Delivery Management Certification

AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Big Data – Specialty
