Daily Responsibilities:
Performing database and platform administration tasks for Center for Health Data Innovation (CHDI) systems and tools, including cloud analytics environment and data quality and matching tools.
Specific duties Include:
Research and provide input on technical designs for database architecture in environments.
Implement design to meet highly complex business needs and technical design documents, and support design, creation, and testing.
Establish processes for and manage database access and permissions.
Review and manage database security, integrity, and backups.
Monitor database performance, including incident and problem management.
Monitor database usage and provide reports to the technical manager and team to inform design changes.
Create appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code and technical documentation.
Assist end users with database activities such as table creation and indexing related to data loading, view creation, and other database functions.
Troubleshoot complex end-user technical issues, identify problems, and lead solutions.
Must Haves:
84+ months: Candidate can provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
84 months of experience in database/schema architecture, SQL coding, testing, maintenance, and debugging skills.
84 months creating, testing, and maintaining secure databases using security APIs, transport and message layer security, encryption, and decryption algorithms for data security, PL/SQL, Normalization, and Database Optimization.
48 months of monitoring database usage and performance, leading incident and problem management, documenting and reporting issues, and leading solutions.
48 Months establishing procedures for and managing database access and permissions.
48 months of experience creating cloud-native database design that can include aspects such as containerization, API-first, serverless, and microservices architecture.
48 months experience in a cloud environment, including knowledge of cloud/hybrid infrastructure including AWS or GCP.
