About this job

• Upgrade software and tools in support of design for infrastructure and technology platforms, including operating systems, utilities, databases & applications.
• Application development experience in Design, coding, testing, and debugging with mainframe skills such as COBOL, DB2, IMS, JCL, Zeke, File Aid, Changeman, CA7, TWS and Endevor.
• Monitoring Batch jobs and optimizing database performance.
• Applying security measures to protect the database from unauthorized access.
• Providing technical support to users and developers.
• Support Disaster Recovery Drills
• Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design through collaboration across the project team consisting of developers, architects, executive leaders, and other project resources.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
• Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
• Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
• Lead the technical workstream to deliver the highest quality results for your client.
• Maintains a hands-on role to ensure deadlines are met and key deliverables are always accurate.
• Serve as a bridge between the client and the technical team to translate complex needs into technical understanding.
• Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for enhancements and new products.
• Infrastructure Build and Configuration Management using tools such as GitHub, ServiceNow, etc.
• Build pipeline automation and packaging using tools such as Jenkins.
