Database Administrator

Job Description:

♦   Design, develop, and implement various database instances (Mainly Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB and Cassandra, use both IaaS and PaaS services) for the development and production environments in AZURE Cloud

♦   Defining the systems integration needed to deliver the forthcoming reengineering and platform change, including defining the interfaces needed, the integration technology needed, and the transitionary steps needed to ensure continuity of the systems, data and business during the re-platforming in public cloud.

♦   Help us unlock insights from an enormous trove of consumer, commerce, and logistics datasets by using SQL query writing, data analysis, data synthesis

♦   Migrate application data from on-prem databases to Cloud databases

♦   Monitor and maintain database security and database softwar

♦   Experienced with DMS (Database Migration Services) and other DB/data migration Tools to migrate data from On-premises to Cloud.

♦   Daily maintenance, monitoring, problem resolution and internal customer for production and dev support

♦   On-call for production databases

♦   Test, validate and implement performance and resource optimization improvements in consultation with AZURE development Teams

♦   Database & Application (Oracle & PL/SQL ) performance tuning

♦   Backup and recovery tools of AZURE & traditional DBMS backup & recovery tools

♦   Root cause analysis of production-related database issues

Qualification:

♦   Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalen.

♦   7 - 9 years Oracle Database Administration experience with administering and supporting multiple Oracle databases on UNIX/Linux platform

♦   2- 3 Year experience in systems integration, software development, message-based middleware and SOA, APIs, API management, data modelling, legacy integration techniques, DB staging tables and stored procedures

♦   Experience in Azure Stream Analytics, consists of an input, query, and an output. Stream Analytics ingests data from Azure Event Hubs, Azure IoT Hub, or Azure Blob Storage. ... Send data to services such as Azure Functions, Service Bus Topics or Queues to trigger communications or custom workflows downstream

♦   2 - 3 years MySQL experience and familiar with other DBMS technologies.

♦   2 – 3-year experience in AZURE RDS is key

♦   3-year experience with conducting performance tuning, backup/recovery, and scalability/capacity planning, in addition to SQL, PL/SQL, and UNIX shell scripting

♦   3 years IT troubleshooting/problem-solving experience
