Position Description:

Description: The Database Administrator position has a primary focus on ensuring the integrity and performance of databases. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1. Design and implement databases to meet the needs of the Treasurer’s Office 2. Use monitoring tools and techniques to minimize database downtime and keep databases running optimally and efficiently 3. Define users and roles to enforce security and guarantee access to data 4. Create SQL scripts, stored procedures and functions 5. Create and maintain complex replication & Always-on clusters



Experience Required:

5 Years + of Database Administration The qualified candidate will have demonstrated expertise in: 1. SQL Server database administration (backup, recovery, security) 2. Complex Database replication and Availability Groups 3. Implementing and managing database security 4. Database performance tuning 5. Working with development teams to provide access to data 6. SQL queries, stored procedures and functions Preferred candidates will possess expertise in: 1. Using PowerShell to automate repeatable tasks 2. SSIS package design and development 3. Building reports and dashboards with SSRS, SSAS and Power BI 4. T-SQL and PL/SQL 5. Oracle RDB



Experience Preferred:

2. Five (5) years database design/development (MS SQL). 3. Three (3) years advanced ETL and SSIS design/development (MS SQL). 4. Two (2) years advanced Replication and Always-On



Education Required:
