Database Administrator Team Lead

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead a team of database administrators, providing guidance and support in day-to-day operations.

2. Oversee the administration of MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.

3. Collaborate with other teams to address database-related issues and provide strategic input for database architecture and optimization.

4. Maintain a strong focus on best practices for database administration, ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards.

5. Manage and optimize the combination of Oracle and MySQL databases to meet business requirements.

6. Perform regular database capacity planning and resource utilization analysis.

7. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents and outages in a timely manner.

8. Implement and manage database backup and recovery strategies.

**Qualifications:**

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2. 6-8 years of hands-on experience in database administration.

3. Proficiency in MySQL and PostgreSQL database management.

4. Experience with Oracle databases, especially in combination with MySQL, is highly desirable.

5. Strong leadership and team management skills.

6. Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.

7. Solid understanding of database security, performance tuning, and optimization.

8. Preferably experience from Fintech companies
