Job Duties

  • Administer, test, and implement computer databases, applying knowledge of database management systems. Coordinate changes to computer databases.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases. Based on the tech plan prosed, identifying the suitable database management system that fits for.
  • Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes. That involves the modification in existing code using the MDF tools and technology.
  • Designing and planning for Backup and Recovery strategies for newly created databases
  • Closely work with release management, Infrastructure, project management teams to plan code various deployments on production environments from DBA perspective
  • Fixing all the bugs that may arise in production DBMS system
  • Deployment of the enhanced database related modules
  • Responsible for Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of Database production issue and troubleshooting & resolving the problems faced in the testing phase in conjunction with the development team, testing team, networking team and third-party vendors
  • Implement and maintain Golden Gate replication to provide high availability and Disaster recovery solution for mission critical systems
  • Create shell script to monitor oracle golden Gate process status
  • Coordinate with change management team on schedule changes
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent solution
  • Preparation of Functional /technical design document and submit document for client approval
  • Involve in meetings with project stakeholders to understand and analyze the new requirements, Design, Development activities, testing strategies, Testing support
  • Preparation of the work breakdown structure for database development/migration/upgrade projects – spelling out the breakdown of the project into tasks and sub-tasks
  • Highlight if there is any slippage in the plan which is laid down at the starting of the project
  • To plan successful deliveries within the estimated time bandwidths

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with Minimum 5 years of relevant experience or Masters degree with 3 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant filed.
