Essential Functions of the Job:

·Engineer solutions in Cloud for Database/Datawarehouse and analytics requirements.

·Define and develop best practices for Azure Databricks and Database solutions implementation.

·Implementing SQL PaaS/SQL MI/SQL IaaS solutions based on the requirements from end users.

·Implementing security best practices for Azure solutions.

·Integrating new infrastructure services based on designs, and participating in automation, consolidation, and centralization projects.

·Provide Guidance to Project Team on Azure Databricks architecture and implementation.

·Identifying dependencies and pre-requisites for the solution and validation of non-functional attributes of the application environment design.

·Ensure IT standards, audit and compliance requirements are understood and adhered to and well documented.

·Ensure IT operational documentation, build documents, processes and procedures are completed and maintained to a high standard.

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

·Provide technical leadership, coaching and coordinate with other teams for projects and initiatives.

·Translate the requirements of stakeholders, Product Owner and Product Manager into actionable backlog items and a manageable roadmap.

·Deal efficiently with escalations and difficult situations/people.

·Be able to make on the spot decisions based on direction from Product Owner and stakeholders.

·Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

·Extensive hands-on experience implementing data migration and data processing using Azure services: ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Azure

·Functions, Synapse, Azure SQL, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Catalog.

·In-depth knowledge on the internal architecture of Azure Data Bricks.

·Build ADF pipelines and orchestrate end to end Azure cloud implementation including deployment of services in cloud.

·Hands-on experience with SQL PaaS, SQL MI, and SQL IaaS.

·Hands-on experience working with Azure Key Vault to secure Certificates, Cryptographic Keys etc.

·Knowledge on Lakehouse and Delta Lake.

·Experience working with App insights.

·Knowledge in DevOps and CI/CD deployments.

·Knowledge on PowerShell.

·Experience supporting applications, platforms, and/or services in shared or virtual environments.

·General understanding of various IT security concepts as they relate to production environments.

·Ability to write technical documentation and procedures.

·Ability to work in a virtual team with an inclusive mindset and mindful of cultural differences.

·Ability to communicate effectively with management, clients, and colleagues.

·Ability to operate with independence based on objectives defined by leaders and with reduced supervision.
