DB2 Warehouse/Migration SME

Job Description:

NOTE : NEED SENOIR PROFILES HOLDING MORE THAN 12+ years’ EXPERIENCE

·       DB2 Warehouse Administrator will be providing technical and operational support for activities of Database Servers, including installation, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, tuning, and optimizing.
·       Minimum Three (3) years of experience with IBM DB2 Warehouse 11.X up till latest version hosted on AIX and /or Linux platform.
·       Install, monitor, and maintain DB2 Warehouse implement monitoring and alerting, implement backup and recovery processes; provide system and SQL performance tuning.
·       DB2 Warehouse Administration tasks like Loading Data,
·       Strong hands-on experience in native administration commands on the command line of the host, Using Data replication for Continuous Availability, Configuring DB2 Warehouse, Backup & Recovery and Monitoring, Configuring S-TAP.
·       Experience of migrating DB2 Warehouse from one platform to another and on-prem to cloud.
·       Manage Security for IBM DB2 Warehouse, SSL, Setting up External Directory Server
·       Deploying the IBM Db2 Warehouse client container
·       Good knowledge of docker/ Kubernetes based DB2 warehouse MPP deployment.
·       Hands-on in any of the Unix/Linux programming languages such as: UNIX shell scripting, Python, or Perl experience
·       Provide expertise related to DB performance, HA, and scalability.
·       DR Planning and execution in HA environments.
·       Ability to proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve live database systems issues.
·       Participate in the creation of development, staging, and production database instances, and the migration from one environment to another.
·       Hands-on knowledge in proactive remediation of database operational problems
·       Stay current with new database technology developments and techniques, research new software and tools, proactively recommend improvements.
·       Good knowledge of automation tools such as (Ansible, Terraform, Git, Jenkins...)
·       Functional experience of Unix/Linux & Windows operating systems
