Job requirements

Role: DBE
Location: Basking Ridge, NJ (Hybrid)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Min 8 years’ experience as DBA and at least 2-3 years’ experience on Mongo DB 
Maintain and configure MongoDB instances. 
Fine-tune configurations – MongoDB and servers for performance improvement. 
Maintenance – during release/outage etc. Keep clear documentation of the database setup and architecture. 
Write procedures for backup and disaster recovery. 
Ensure that the databases achieve maximum performance and availability. 
Design indexing strategies. Implement appropriate indexes for performance improvement. 
Configure, monitor, and deploy replica sets. 
Automate the process of deploying DB changes so that we can support this for a new build/patch/hotfix. 
Upgrade databases through patches Create roles and users and set their permissions. 
Create and publish database health checks to monitoring systems for the following: 
Identify slow queries 
Replication lags 
Node failures 
Index usage patterns 
CPU usage 
Memory usage 
Locks 
Number of connections 
Implementing best practices for backups, replication, and health checks.
