Design Engineer

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1)            Learn about product components

2)            Component modeling

3)            Update and create drawings

4)            Create Engineering Change data

5)            Upload/download customer’s data into Team Center

6)            Learn engineering terminology and basic lighting manufacturing processes

7)            Participate in product design reviews

8)            Attend customer meetings with Program Engineer or Program Manager

9)            Implement design standards and best practices in designs

10)          Domestic and International travel required as needed     

Work Experience

1)            7-9 years of automotive product design experience

Education

1)            Associates in Product Design or similar discipline or equivalent experience

. Knowledge Skills and Abilities

1)            Excellent verbal and written communication skills

2)            Fluent in MS Office products

3)            UG or CATIA knowledge

4)            Automotive knowledge

5)            Plastic component experience

6)            Product knowledge a plus

7)            Completed a course in GD&T a plus

8)            Team Center knowledge a plus
