Job Summary: As a Design Support Engineer, you will be responsible for testing, debugging and analyzing high-speed signal integrity for high speed cable & connector products, ie. PCIe and Ethernet interfaces. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our designs meet stringent performance criteria. Your expertise will also play a critical role in local sample builds for high-speed cable & connector.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Testing: Develop and execute test plans/fixtures to evaluate the performance of high-speed interfaces and identify potential issues.
Prototype Development: Assist in the local sample build process for high-speed cable & connector, ensuring that designs meet specifications.
Collaboration: Work closely with PCB designers, hardware engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure design integrity from concept to production.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of design processes, test results, and analyses.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve signal integrity issues during design and testing phases.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in industrial associations to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation and improvements in signal integrity practices.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Proven experience in signal integrity design/assembly analysis, particularly with PCIe and Ethernet interfaces.
Proficiency in measurement equipment (e.g., VNA, TDR).
Strong understanding of high-speed digital design principles and transmission line theory.
Experience with high-speed cable & connector design and testing.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in simulation tools (e.g., HFSS, CST )
Experiencing in python/matlab coding for s4p files processing and SI test report generation
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
