About the Role

 

Satellite Healthcare is currently seeking a Senior IT Desktop Administrator to join our team to support our offices. This position will be working as a critical part of the team and will be primarily responsible for supporting our Arizona Business Services Office. The successful candidate will be expected to be transparent, accountable, work well independently, and solve problems impacting multiple clients and sites.

 

Essential Functions:

Serves as the primary IT expert for the office:

- Working with internal staff to resolve various technical issues (including troubleshooting Desktop, network, Citrix, A/V Conferencing, UC, etc.)

- Assist staff with day to day PC, mobile device support.

- Experience in service management using ServiceNow

- Exploring new opportunities to add value to the organization and departmental processes

- Performing other duties as assigned and be an integral part of the Desktop/Endpoint systems team at HQ

- Escalate to other team members as necessary

 

As part of the Desktop/Endpoint systems team, this person will be:

- Participating in the evaluation, planning, design and implementation of new application initiatives

- Assisting in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for internal development projects

- Identifying opportunities and implementing solutions to improve business processes and productivity

- Providing on-going support of installed application systems including resolution of application systems incidents, root cause analysis of problems, impact analysis and planning of proposed system upgrades and patches

  • Analysis and development of enhancements to meet changing user requirements
  • Execution of change control procedures to ensure all enhancements, upgrades and patches are thoroughly tested and planned before implementation in the production environment
  • Maintaining all related technical documentation; where applicable, developing and communicating company policies and procedures
  • Working with business units and internal teams to strengthen existing capabilities

Maintains Quality Service and Departmental Standards by:

  • Reading, understanding and adhering to organizational Standard Operating Procedures ( "SOP)
  • Assisting in establishing and enforcing departmental standards
  • Ensuring the application of Enterprise IT policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of all services
  • Participating in the modification of related company SOPs

Experience:

  • Minimum Five (5) years of experience as a Computer Technician or Desktop Support Specialist
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft operating systems and VDI technology (Citrix is preferred)
  • Experience supporting video conferencing solutions: WebEx, Zoom, etc.
  • Experience working with switches as well as racking servers
  • Experience in imaging and deploying endpoints.
  • Experience patching network cables
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects effectively
  • Scripting skills (PowerShell, vbs, batch, bash, etc)
  • Process and Procedural-oriented
  • Ability to work as part of team and independently
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of networking theory, TCP/IP protocol and IP addressing
  • Assist with inventory management, audit, receiving and shipping of HW/material as needed

Able to read, write, speak, understand and satisfactorily communicate with others in English in person, over the phone and via email.

Azure experience is a plus.

Experience in creating and managing desktop imaging server is a plus.

 

Education:

 

  • Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent preferred.
