Desktop Support Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

📈 Establish network specifications by working with users to analyze workflow, access, and security needs, and designing router administration.
🛠 Set up and maintain networks by evaluating performance issues like availability, utilization, throughput, and latency, while planning and executing network upgrades.
⚙ Troubleshoot and optimize network performance, and escalate unresolved issues to vendors when necessary.
🔒 Ensure network security by managing access, monitoring, control, and documentation.
📚 Train users by creating and conducting educational programs and offering continuous support.
🔄 Upgrade and improve networks through collaboration with vendors, testing, evaluating, and installing new features and enhancements.
💰 Support financial operations by submitting budget information and keeping track of expenses.
📖 Stay updated by participating in training programs, reading industry publications, and building a professional network.
🔐 Maintain confidentiality and protect the organization’s data.
🎯 Achieve organization goals by taking ownership of new tasks and finding ways to add value.
Job Requirements:

✔ Proven experience in network administration.
🔄 Expertise in networking, routing, and switching.
🔧 Knowledge of server management and infrastructure control.
🔥 Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and remote troubleshooting.
🖥 Ability to configure server hardware.
💾 Familiarity with backup and recovery software.
📊 Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
🎓 Certifications like CCNA, Network+, CCNP, or equivalent.
🎓 BSc in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
🎓 Associate’s or Bachelor's degree with a focus on electronics preferred.
