Essential Responsibilities
• Support site in migration of IT assets like Workstations and servers running on Windows OS.
• Maintain accurate inventory of the Windows workstations with details of which software these are running and which area those belong to.
• If workstations are being replaced, then update the inventory with an exact map to show FQDN of asset being replaced and FQDN of asset replacing.
• Be ready with administrator access on all workstations being migrated or replaced.
• Work with application support team and site to collect security group information and support migration of those groups.
• Responsible for coordination of Software and security deployments using SCCM.
• Troubleshoot communication issues (VLAN, WLAN, Firewall) and make sure assets are communicating after migration just like those had been communicating pre migration.
• Ability to write technical instructions for complex setups in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Provides guidance to less experienced personnel on hardware and software to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
• Work in multivendor support system which needs good deal of coordination.
Required Qualifications/skills.
• Fluent in English both verbal and written.
• Intermediate knowledge of ITIL v3 or later and ITSM best practices.
• Knowledgeable in CSV process.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Experienced in Group Policy Objects (GPO's), Active Directory security and compliancy configurations.
• Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Intermediate knowledge and understanding of LAN environments.
• Creative and advanced problem-solving skills that lead to effective solutions to complex and varied problems.
• Advanced ability to perform complex troubleshooting and analysis of PC hardware, PC operating systems.
• Understands the importance of good documentation practices.
• Should be open to work in shift for limited period of time.
• Should have the ability to understand technical instructions given.
