Developer

Develop new automation solutions for the departments processes and maintain existing code base on tools supported by the department.   This will require coding, knowledge and experience using code repository management tools (such as Subversion) and experience in testing/debugging code.  Prefer candidate with knowledge of SQL on relational databases.

UPDATED INFORMATION per the Sprint Engagement Manager:
*           Is this an Automation Tester/Engineer (unit testing and defect management)? If so, what programming language are they looking for? C# vs Java. No, not a testing position, I want a developer and I will teach them a new language and IDE for the dev work.  As long as they know a language and are willing to learn a new one, all is good.  The development platform is Appian, but I do not need them to be aware of or knowledgeable in it, I prefer to teach them.
*           Which automation tools will they be using? The Appian platform is a full Business Process Management Suite (BPMS) with built in tools, no additional ones are needed.
*           What defect management tool are they looking for experience in? Jira? None required, we will probably use Jira going forward.
*           What code does their department work with? This code is on the Appian BPMS.
*           Is this new development or maintenance? The role will be about 50/50 dev and maintenance, we are building a new application now.
*           What would they be working on? Building a new application to be used by all of Product & Technology resources (internal tool).
