The Dev/Research Engineer-3 will play a vital role in fuel injection equipment design, development, assembly, and test support. This position contributes to a team of five additional engineers, supporting four product lines. The primary project involves the development of new injectors for diesel engines used in large mining truck applications.
Job Responsibilities:
• Provide design support, including creating components and assemblies, modeling, and engineering drawings using Creo.
• Document components through tasks like microscope imaging and part measurement.
• Resolve issues using the 8D problem-solving methodology.
• Participate in component assembly, function testing, and durability testing.
• Collaborate with internal and external suppliers on various projects.
Candidate Requirements:
Education & Experience Required:
• A bachelor's degree in a STEM field is required, with a preference for mechanical engineering.
Technical Skills (Required)
Proficiency in hands-on work involving hand tools, measurement equipment, test equipment, and data collection. Specific training will be provided.
• Knowledge of Creo modeling and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Technical Skills (Desired)
• Experience in engine or fuel system design and development.
• Basic statistics familiarity for data analysis.
Soft Skills (Required)
